Report Card Summary
Dear Parents,
Enclosed is your child’s first semester Progress Report from the Elementary Gifted Center. We do not assign “letter grades” as such; but rather present an overview of general objectives and behaviors associated with the Gifted Program. Notice the headings “Below Expectations”, “Meets Expectations”, and “Exceeds Expectations”. The mark for each objective in a particular column indicates your child’s progress in that area and is in no way indicative of A, B, C or other letter grade.
A rating of “Below Expectations” indicates a growth opportunity for a student. This does not indicate failure in any way, but rather an area where improvement is needed.
A rating of “Meets Expectations” is right on target for your child’s gifted class performance. This means that the student is performing at the level expected of students in the Gifted Program.
A rating of “Exceeds Expectations” means that a student is exhibiting ability beyond what is expected of his / her grade peers.
